What you can do with Stripe in Sylus
Sylus gives SaaS and e-commerce teams instant answers from Stripe. Ask "What was MRR growth by plan last quarter?" or "How many payments failed this week, and why?" and get an answer, chart, or dashboard. Set an alert for when failed payments spike.
How the Stripe integration works
Sylus connects to Stripe with a restricted API key that only has read permissions. It syncs charges, invoices, subscriptions, customers, refunds, and payouts, and keeps them up to date. Because the key is read-only, Sylus cannot move money or change anything in your Stripe account.
How to connect Stripe to Sylus
You need a Stripe role that can create API keys, such as Administrator or Developer.
In the Stripe Dashboard, go to Developers > API keys and create a restricted key.
Give the key Read access to the resources you want to analyze, for example Charges, Customers, Invoices, and Subscriptions.
In Sylus, add Stripe as a data source and paste the key.
