What you can do with Snowflake in Sylus
Sylus gives business teams self-serve answers from Snowflake. Ask "What was net revenue retention by segment last quarter?" or "Which regions are behind plan this month?" and get answers and dashboards built on your modeled tables, with the SQL shown for review.
How the Snowflake integration works
Sylus connects to Snowflake with a dedicated user, a read-only role, and a warehouse you choose. It reads the databases, schemas, and tables that role can access and runs queries on that warehouse, so compute usage stays visible and under your control. If you use dbt, Sylus can use your dbt models and docs as context.
How to connect Snowflake to Sylus
You need a Snowflake admin who can create a user and role.
Create a role for Sylus and grant it USAGE on a warehouse, database, and schemas, plus SELECT on the tables and views to analyze.
Create a user for Sylus with that role as its default.
In Sylus, add Snowflake as a data source and enter your account identifier, user, role, and warehouse.
Select the databases and schemas to include.
Account identifier format: orgname-accountname
