What you can do with MongoDB in Sylus
Sylus makes MongoDB data easy to explore for people who don't write aggregation pipelines. Ask "How many orders were placed per day last month?" or "Which features do our most active users use?" and get an answer or chart in seconds.
How the MongoDB integration works
Sylus connects with a MongoDB connection URI and a user with the read role. It samples your collections to understand document fields, including nested fields, then queries the collections you select. It works with MongoDB Atlas and self-hosted MongoDB.
How to connect MongoDB to Sylus
You need a MongoDB user that can create users, or an Atlas project owner.
Create a database user for Sylus with the
readrole on the databases you want to analyze. In Sylus, add MongoDB as a data source, paste the connection URI, and test the connection.
Select the databases and collections to include.
Connection URI format: mongodb+srv://user:password@cluster.mongodb.net/dbname
