What you can do with MariaDB in Sylus
Sylus gives teams on open-source stacks an AI data analyst for MariaDB. Ask "How many orders shipped late last month?" or "What is revenue by customer segment?" and get an answer or chart, with the SQL shown for review.
How the MariaDB integration works
MariaDB works with MySQL clients, so Sylus connects with a standard connection string and a read-only user. It reads your databases and tables and queries the ones you select. It works with self-hosted and managed MariaDB, including Amazon RDS for MariaDB.
How to connect MariaDB to Sylus
You need a MariaDB user that can create users, or a DBA who can create one for you.
Create a user for Sylus and grant it SELECT on the databases you want to analyze.
In Sylus, add MariaDB as a data source, paste the connection string, and test the connection.
Select the databases and tables to include.
Connection string format: mysql://user:password@host:3306/dbname
